Collection: Cozy at home during the cold season. Easy Warm Soups & Stews Feature
The long summer has ended, and before we knew it, autumn is here. And winter is just around the corner.
In Okinawa too, short sleeves are finally starting to feel a bit chilly.
Our November recommendation is a feature on warm soups and stews, perfect for the cold season, that are "ready to eat."
No elaborate cooking is required for any of these: retort pouches and canned foods that just need heating, or Okinawa soba that just needs boiling (or blanching). You can enjoy them immediately after returning home from work or school.
Please try these gentle Okinawan dishes that will warmly comfort both your chilled body and soul.
In addition to classic dishes like Soki-jiru (pork spare rib soup), Nakami-jiru (offal soup), and Okinawa Soba, we also recommend Yushi Tofu, which is delicious just by heating it and seasoning with salt or bonito dashi, Mozuku Seaweed Soup, which just needs hot water added and stirred, and rich, hearty soups like Campbell's Vegetarian Vegetable Soup and Mayfair's Beef & Vegetable Stew.
